The redesign for the Dennis Surname DNA Project website is finally complete and the site is live. In addition to an entirely new look for the project's web presence, there are several new features. A "News & Updates" section has been added that will contain general project news along with updates on new participants, genetic matches, family groups, etc. The Family Group pages have been redesigned to make them more user friendly. The color coding on the test results charts has been improved and matching color coding has been added to the PDF Relationship Charts. A "Donate" page has been added requesting donations to the project's general fund.
One new interactive feature is the project blog. It will be updated regularly with articles concerning DNA testing and genetic genealogy. There will be topics such as the benefits of testing, success stories from project members, and new advances in genetic technology. There will also be articles dealing with traditional genealogy research. Visitors will have the ability to comment on the articles and participate in ongoing discussions.
Last but not least is the new project logo!!
