Genetic genealogy has become the premier research tool available to genealogists, and especially to those who have encountered the dreaded "brick wall." No other advancement in genealogical research has been able to tear down as many walls so quickly. As genetic technology advances and genetic genealogy becomes even more popular, its value as a research tool will also continue to grow. The secret to the success of any surname project is the size of the sample, or the number of participants. As the sample size increases, all test results become more valuable.
It's been just over a year and a half since the Dennis Surname DNA Project website first went live, and we've made some tremendous progress in that time. We've added a significant number of new members, and many have found new genetic and genealogical connections they would not have found otherwise. The new site design is part of an effort to not only continue our recent progress, but to elevate the project to entirely different level. There are several new features such as the News & Updates section, color coded Relationship Charts, and an entirely new look and feel...not to mention the new logo! It's my hope that the site's new design and layout along with it's added interactivity will generate some enthusiasm and garner new support for the project.
I plan to do everything I can to promote the project and add new members, but I need your help. I need you to promote and support the project in any way possible. For those who are able, we need donations to help build the general fund so that we have the funds available for those who are willing to be tested but unable financially. It's time for us, as Dennis researchers, to make the Dennis Surname DNA Project the success that it can and should be. Together we can make it one of the premier surname projects anywhere in the world.
